Prolific music producer and recording artist Marek Czuba has been one busy boy, so busy, in fact, that he hasn’t had time to properly release his own personal recordings under his minimalist project name, CZUBA. For the last twenty years, he has thrown himself into producing the work of others, amassing a catalog of more than fifty albums while simultaneously creating films and directing an endless string of music videos. That relentless pace has left little opportunity to focus on himself, yet it speaks volumes about his dedication to building and shaping the visions of countless other artists. Still, anyone who remembers his last three daring albums released on Little Whore Records between 1999 and 2000 knows Czuba has always had a restless, uncompromising drive to push music into strange and uncharted territory.
What’s remarkable is that, during all this time working behind the scenes, Czuba never truly stopped creating his own music. Instead, he continued to secretly build a vast and hidden archive of recordings and works that remained in the shadows while the world assumed he had shifted away from his solo vision. These recordings dive headfirst into the extreme edges of sound: experimental constructions, noise-driven atmospheres, fractured collages, and improvised passages that blur the line between chaos and structure. For Czuba, sound is not something to tame but something to unleash, dissect, and reassemble into bold, often shocking forms. Now, after two decades of silence on the release front, Little Whore Records is thrilled to finally bring Czuba’s hidden work into the light. This unveiling continues with Volume 2 as part of an ambitious multi-volume, CD series set, These first series of albums serve as both a reintroduction to Czuba’s singular vision and a tantalizing glimpse into the vast, unreleased universe still waiting to be uncovered. For longtime fans, it’s the long-awaited return of a fearless artist; for new listeners, it’s a rare chance to witness the raw, uncompromising energy of a creator who has never stopped pushing against the edges of sound. creditsreleased September 2, 2025 Album Produced by Marek Czuba |
